The Campaign

When it comes time for you to release a new song or entire album, faceTracks will work with you in order to create a “campaign” to get the word out. This is where all of the accumulations of “likes” and all of the collecting of emails (at your shows, through your FaceTracks page, or from anywhere) will really start to pay dividends. A faceTracks campaign has two prongs: One is through Facebook itself to all of your “likes” as well as to all of the people who follow FaceTracks itself. The second prong is to the email list that has accumulated through your FaceTracks page and/or any list that you may already have.

The Facebook Prong

Facebook has the amazing ability to spread the word and gives you the ability to reach a lot of eyes (and ears) when you have a new track to release. There are many things that an Artist can do to help build the fan base for the page (likes) as well as keep the page relevant and interesting. All of these activities will pay dividends when it comes time to send out a new track with the intention of some of your fans coming forward to download. Remember, we are talking about your Facebook page (fan page) not your personal profile (although some extra activity there never hurts) and if you are unclear of the difference please refer to our Facebook Basics

To help this along, on your Facebook page you should…

  • Post pictures and/or updates regularly (remember people “liked” you because they want your news)
  • Interact with your fans by responding directly to their posts
  • Create “Events” for any upcoming shows or releases*
  • Follow up your events with your own comments and pictures

*Your Facebook page will not display events by default at first as the application will need to be added. FaceTracks will take care of this for you at the beginning but please see the short tutorial at the bottom this page on how to add your own events.

For Emails  we can…

  • Add any email list that you have accumulated over the years
  • Collect and manage new fans as they accumulate

Your FaceTracks page has some very powerful marketing and communications tools built right into it. Aside from people who actually sign up for your updates through your Face Tracks page, it will also keep a list of anybody who ever downloads any of your music. If you have an email list of your fans that you have been accumulating you can give it to us in order to send communication from your page. FaceTracks has some very powerful email tools that we employ to get the word out when you have a new release, all you need to do is send us your list and add to it whenever you can. We take it from there and, don’t worry, we aren’t a spam factory, all emails that are sent to your fans have an “opt-out” option if they no longer want to receive updates.

Squeeze Pages

Despite the funny name, a squeeze page is really just a small page that we can set up within your Facebook page that collects names and emails for your list. The idea is that you give away something free (a song, a video, a poster…etc) and all that people need to do to get these free items is provide a name and email which our system will automatically add to your list. It’s a great way to “build your list” quickly. We’re happy to set up your squeeze page for free.
